Backup system planning and implementation of IT servers (more than 200 servers were affected) using SUN products and HP data protector software.

The intent of Frontier guard was to introduce a unified backup system supporting several platforms. Main client requirements were: unified administration console; high availability; compatibility with extant systems and with the centered backup system of ORFK (National Police Head Office). Project scope was the integration of the purchased tools into the given environment.
Disaster proof storage system implementation (storage, backup, archiving) and application integration. The goal of the project was to make the defect- and disaster proof data storage possible for the client with XP-1024 storages placed in its primary and secondary server room. The project also included the implementation of disaster proof backup and archiving system and the integration of the applications.
Introduction of Symantec Netbackup 6.5. Workout of of Backup-restore solution for the high availability database storing critical data of the Client with, Oracle RMAN. The database is operating in HP-UX and Oracle RAC environment.
Backup system and storage audit: Audit of Symmetrix configuration of Oracle databases, Exchange servers and File/printer servers; auditing and fixing of TimeFinder scripts used for backup.
Backup system planning: goal of the project was planning the central backup solution of decentralized file servers of 13 countries.
Fault-proof storage system (storage, backup, archive) and application integration: aim of the project is to provide a unified backup system to the Silicon Labs Hungary’s varied (Solaris and Windows based) engineering planning and simulation environment and to provide a convenient disaster plan to the availability of information services (BIA, RA, Planning, Implementation). During the implementation HP tools and Veritas NetBackup were used.
